Monogrammed Bath Towels

Monogrammed towels make simple, elegant personalized gifts suitable for anyone and for any occasion.

Recently, a client asked me to monogram some towels for a bridal shower. What a great idea! These turned out really nice, so I also did a set for my parents. I have monogrammed towels for my kids bathroom, beach towels for clients, but I have never done any for our master bathroom. My next project, new monogrammed towels which I think will add a nice touch.

Monogrammed towels are certainly fabulous wedding gifts, shower gifts, or a gift for yourself! So, next time you’re looking for a unique gift, Patty’s Collection is happy to monogram on items clients bring to us.

Welcome to my World, Part I

Finally! Patty’s Collection new studio is ready!

When it comes to sewing, the expression “A place for everything and everything in its place" is certainly true. Setting up and putting away every time I want to sew uses precious time that could be better spent sewing, embroidering or creating new accessories. So, I knew from the beginning that my main needs were lots of organized storage space.

Now, I have a space where it is fun and relaxing to plan and create new things for my Collection. I realized that it is the little things that make my sewing space my own.
My computer and TV side-by-side. They are my best friends when working
The lack of artwork... I am still working on my bulletin board
My work space
Sew... Create!
I keep my sewing supplies in a square glass container... the flower is just a touch
I love organizing and the joy that it brings me when
everything is in its place is great!.. I still need to do
some labeling
More storage... and display area
My fabrics... this is the "Pink and Green" section only

I do hope you enjoyed the tour of my new studio. More pictures to come as I keep making changes!

Simple Gift Wrapping Ideas

I tend to get a number of comments about my wrapping paper and ribbons. When it comes to gift wrapping, I’d like to spend less on the wrapping and more on the gift.  I used to spend about $7.00 to $10.00 buying a roll of paper, bows, and a card.  Since I am the “ribbon girl” now, I like to use the ribbons that I use for Patty’s Collection for wrapping my presents.

Usually, I buy a big roll of white paper and I use the appropriate color ribbon when wrapping the present.  The idea of giving a beautifully wrapped gift is an important element of gift-giving to me and I try to do my best.  However, when it comes to Christmas wrapping, it’s a matter of survival for me, I have too many presents to wrap so I tried to keep it nice and simple!

I found this pretty double-sided wrapping paper
at Target
Wrapped present and I still have some of the blue
side left for another occasion

Some of these gift wrapping ideas photos were from Real Simple one of the few magazines that I still subscribe to.

Just find the right section from the paper
and add a pretty ribbon

Almost there!

This week I will be finishing Patty’s Collection’s new studio.  My parents are in town, so I am getting much needed help from my mom while my dad spends some quality time with the kids!

These are some of the elements that I am using for my studio:

Choosing the fabric from Calico Corners

Folding Sewing Table

Colorful Fabric Drawers

Storage Boxes
Corner Desk
3-Shelf Organizer

I will be posting the photos of my new space soon! Stay tuned!

Happy Monday!

Hello! I've been away with my family in our annual family vacation. There is nothing like a vacation to get you recharged and refreshed. We spent 10 days at the beach and I very much enjoyed the daily happy hours and family dinners, making sand pools and tunnels with the kids, spending hours in the water, celebrating my father's birthday, spending time with my sister, niece and baby nephew... Ben played miniature golf with his cousins and went to the water park... it was certainly a really nice vacation!

The loves of my life!

This has been a great Summer and I got to do a lot with my kids, and we still have five more weeks of fun before Ben goes back to school!
